Her academic journey starteded at Start Rite Nursery School, progressed through Ekulu Primary School, down to Holy Rosary College. With a strong desire for higher education, she attended Abia State University in Uturu, Abia State, where she earned a degree in English Language. Following her National Youth Service, she embarked on a career in banking, initially at Platinum Bank and subsequently at Bond Bank. Seeking to enhance her qualifications, she relocated to the United Kingdom. There, she attained a Master’s degree in Service Management from the University of Buckingham, and subsequently pursued a Law degree from the University of Bedfordshire, reflecting her ongoing passion for education and law.
As her educational and professional pursuits flourished, HRM Ugonwa discovered her passion for entrepreneurship and leadership. She established Purple SpiceMK Catering Company, specializing in authentic Nigerian cuisine, which serves a diverse clientele in the UK. In tandem with her business endeavors, she has developed a career in cybersecurity, holding the position of Cybersecurity Specialist Manager and acquiring numerous professional certifications.
HRM Ugonwa’s life took a significant turn upon marrying HRM Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe I, King of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom. Together, they are the proud parents of three children. In her role as Oniemo, she has utilized this platform to serve and elevate others within her community.
Guided by a profound sense of purpose, she founded the Oniemo Foundation, an initiative dedicated to empowering women and children through educational and support programs. Her mission is to ensure that no individual is left behind in the pursuit of a brighter future.

Beyond her professional and royal commitments, HRM Ugonwa derives joy from cooking, traveling, and reading, all of which provide her with enriching experiences and broaden her perspectives. Her journey is marked by resilience, ambition, and a dedication to service, as she continuously strives to create opportunities, uplift communities, and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom.
