A remarkable twist in his journey came when he was beckoned by his ancestors to ascend the throne of the ancient Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom. His coronation was nothing short of a grand spectacle, celebrated by his people and graced by dignitaries. Despite facing significant challenges, including a legal battle related to his selection, HRM Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe I (Aka Digital King), King of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom has displayed unwavering commitment to his community. In a momentous occasion in November 2023, Delta State Governor Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori presented him with the staff of office, solidifying his role as a leader.
However, the path hasn’t always been smooth. In 2024, after a heartbreaking incident in the Okuama community, HRM Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe I (Aka Digital King), King of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom found himself declared wanted by the military. Yet, showcasing his dedication to justice and transparency, he bravely surrendered to authorities, affirming his innocence and cooperating fully throughout the investigation.
Today, HRM Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe I (Aka Digital King), King of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom shares his life with HRM Ugonwa Blessing Onwuneme-Ikolo, and together they have three wonderful children:
